Choosing your movement

All Pinion automatic watches (Neutron, Reaxis) are built around proven Swiss movements, carefully selected for reliability, serviceability and long-term performance.

For these models, you can choose between two options:

Note: Currently LJ G100 upgrades are not available on Neutron or Reaxis watches.

We hope to get more movements from October 2026 onwards

Sellita SW200-1 Automatic Mechanical Watch Movement

Sellita SW200-1 (Standard)

The Sellita SW200-1 is one of the most widely used automatic movements in Swiss watchmaking.
It’s a direct evolution of the ETA 2824, known for its reliability, accuracy and ease of servicing. It’s a movement used across the industry for good reason — dependable, robust and well understood.
  • ~38-hour power reserve
  • Proven, industry-standard design
  • Reliable and easy to service worldwide
  • 28,800 frequency / 25 jewels
La-Joux Perret - LJP G100 automatic mechanical watch movement

La Joux-Perret G100 (Upgrade)

The La Joux-Perret G100 is a modern automatic movement developed as a high-performance alternative to traditional Swiss calibres. Backed by Citizen Group engineering and manufactured in Switzerland, it combines contemporary architecture with extended power reserve and robust construction. Increasingly adopted across the industry, it represents a new generation of reliable, high-spec movements.

  • Its most noticeable advantage is the extended power reserve
  • At around 68 hours, the watch will continue running for longer when not worn
  • It also features a more refined finish, when viewed through a glass case back
  • 28,800 Frequency / 24 Jewels

What’s the difference in everyday use?

Both movements are reliable and regulated in England to ensure consistent performance.
The main difference is how long the watch runs when not worn, and the overall level of refinement in the movement itself.
  • The Sellita is the proven, traditional option, which is easier to service and maintain
  • The LJP G100 offers a longer reserve and a more modern architecture
  • The Sellita SW200 uses a bidirectional winding rotor which is perceived as smoother and quieter
  • The LJP G100 has a free spinning winding rotor (unidirectional) which is noticeably louder

Which should you choose?

If you prefer a well-established, widely used movement, the Sellita is an excellent choice.

If you value a longer power reserve and a more refined movement, the LJP G100 is a worthwhile upgrade.

A note on assembly

Regardless of the movement you choose, every watch is assembled, regulated and tested in England by Pinion’s founder, Piers, ensuring consistent performance and attention to detail.
