Watch care
Your Pinion watch is built to be robust and reliable. With the right care and attention, it will provide many years of service.
Please follow the care tips below to help keep your watch performing at its best.
Cleaning your watch
To clean your watch case and sapphire crystal, use lukewarm water with mild soap and a soft, lint-free cloth.
Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishing compounds, as these can damage the surface.
Water resistance
Always make sure the crown is fully pushed / screwed in before your watch comes into contact with water.
Never pull out or adjust the crown while the watch is submerged or in a humid environment.
After wearing in seawater
If your watch has been in seawater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth to prevent salt residue buildup.
Shock resistance
Pinion watches are engineered to handle everyday use, but avoid strong shocks or heavy impacts.
Repeated vibration or force — such as during sports like golf — can cause long-term damage to the movement.
If your watch is dropped or struck hard, have it inspected, as components such as hands may become loose.
Magnetic fields
Keep your watch away from devices with strong magnetic fields — such as speakers, smartphones, and laptops — as magnetism can affect accuracy.
If your watch begins running irregularly, it may need to be demagnetised by a watchmaker.
