Watch Sending Guide
Use this guide if you need to send your watch back to Pinion for any reason.

Preparing your watch for sending
What to send
- You can send either the complete watch (with strap) or just the watch head — whichever you prefer.
- Do not send your original box, packaging, or manuals unless you are returning a recent purchase.
How to package your watch
Do:
- Wrap your watch securely (bubble wrap or similar).
- Place it in a small posting box for protection.
- Include your details or a printed copy of your confirmation email (for repairs or servicing requests).
- Seal the box securely with parcel tape.
Don’t:
- Send your watch in a padded envelope only — it’s not secure enough for transit.
Send your watch
Posting from the UK
Use Royal Mail Special Delivery.
When asked about the contents, describe them as “mechanical parts.”
£500 compensation is included as standard, with optional cover up to £2,500.
Sending from outside the UK
Do:
Use a courier service such as DHL or FedEx (contact me if you’d like help arranging this).
For the description, use “steel wristwatch.”
Use commodity codes:
Automatic – Use 9102.21 or 9102.21.00
Hand wound – Use 9102.11 or 9102.11.00
Declare the original value that you paid for the watch.
For the shipment type, select:
“Return for Repair” – for servicing or repairs
“Return to Seller” – for returns
For repairs: when your watch is sent back, it will be classed as a “return after repair”. You shouldn’t need to pay any extra duty or tax if you can show proof of purchase or import.
I can provide supporting invoices if needed, though Pinion isn’t liable for any import fees requested by your local courier office.
Don’t:
Send via standard international post — it’s slower, less secure and can be delayed in customs for weeks.
